Susan Josephs is a Los Angeles-based writer with a background in theater, dance, and journalism, and author of the debut novel Accidental Friends. Susan spent eight years writing about dance for the Los Angeles Times and her articles, essays, and short fiction have appeared in over a dozen publications including Salon, LA Weekly, Lilith, The Forward, and ARTnews. As a playwright, she has written five plays that have either received full productions or staged readings in New York and Los Angeles. Susan has also collaborated with choreographers and performance artists as a dramaturge, spent eight years working as a domestic violence crisis counselor/advocate, and recently completed a master’s degree in counseling psychology at California State University, Long Beach. Currently, she’s an associate marriage and family therapist and is at work on new fiction.
